INDREDIENTS:
1. Palak (spinach) 1 bunch
2. Kala Chana (black gram) 1 cup ,soaked in water over night
3. Onion 1 chopped
4. Tomato 1 chopped
5. Ginger and garlic paste
6. Green chilli 1 chopped
7. Jeera (cumin seeds) ½ tsp
8. Turmeric powder ½ tsp
9. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
10. Coriander powder 1 tsp
11. Garam masala powder ½ tsp
12. Fresh grated coconut 1 Tbsp (optional)
13. Salt to taste
14. Oil 1 Tbsp
METHOD:
· Pressure cook the black gram with water and salt
· In a pan add oil ,then add Jeera and onion fry till light brown
· Then add ginger, garlic paste ,green chilli, tomato and fry till soft
· Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder mix well
· Then add chopped palak and cook till soft
· Then add cooked Chana ,garam masala, fresh grated coconut and salt and keep in low heat for 10 minutes
· Palak aur kala Chana ki subzi is ready to eat with puri or chapatti
good combination i tries it good one.
ReplyDeleteCame out damn well! I didn't pressure cook the channa dhal. Instead, cooked on medium heat with salt so that it stays intact. It took a little longer but well worth the effort.
