Butter Chicken




Butter chicken everyone’s favorite…..all have their own way of making butter chicken…but the ingredients are the same..only the way of making is different…
I just want to share my recipe …hope you all like it J…lets look at the ingredients and method…

INGREDIENTS: (MARINATION)
1.     Chicken boneless ½ kg ( cut into small pieces)
2.     Red chilli powder 2 tsp
3.     Turmeric powder ½ tsp
4.     Garam masala ½ tsp
5.     Kusturi methi 1 tsp
6.     Red food colour a pinch ( optional)
7.     Salt to taste
8.     Oil 2 tsp
METHOD:
·        Wash and drain  water from the chicken completely
·        In a bowl add no 2 to 8 and mix well (don’t add water)
·        Then add the chicken and marinate for 1 hour can keep for more hour
·        Then shallow fry it or cook in oven for 30 minutes in 200c
INGREDIENTS FOR THE GRAVY:
1.     Fry onion paste 1 cup( fry the onion with 1 tsp of oil and then grind it)
2.     Tomato paste 1 cup (first boil the tomato for 5 min , remove skin and  grind it)
3.     Whole cardamom 2
4.     Green chillies 3
5.     Cashew nut paste 4 Tbsp (I have taken 10 cashew nuts)
6.     Fresh cream 2 Tbsp
7.     Red chilli powder 1tsp
8.     Red food colour a pinch
9.     Kusturi methi 1 tsp
10.   Salt to taste
11.   Water 3 to 4 Tsp
12.   Butter 4 Tbsp( can add more)
13.   Oil 2 Tbsp
METHOD:
·      In a deep bottom vessel add butter and oil then add whole cardamom and green chillies
·      Then add fry onion paste mix well then add tomato paste and fry for 5 minutes
·      Then add red chilli powder, garam masala powder and red food colour and stir well
·      Then add the chicken and water ,close the lid and cook for 5minutes in medium low heat
·      Then add cashew nut paste and mix well for few second
·      Then add fresh cream and again stir well
·      Then add salt ,Kusturi methi and mix well (can also add more butter if you want)
·      If the gravy is too thick add more water or diluted milk
·      And then keep in low heat for 10 minutes
NOTE:
·      If you are shallow frying the chicken ,then in a pan add 2 to 3 Tbsp oil and fry the chicken in medium low heat, don’t over fry the chicken
·      If you are using oven ,then cover the over tray with the foil and place the chicken on it and cook for 30 minutes in 200c
·      I have taken 2 onions and 2 tomatoes
