INDREDIENTS: (FOR THE RICE)
1. Basmati rice 2 cups (washed add drain)
2. Whole garam masala (star 1,bay leaves 1,cinnamon stick 1,cloves 2)
3. Salt to taste
4. lemon juice 1 tsp
5. Oil 2 Tbsp
6. Ghee 1 Tbsp
7. Water 4 cups
METHOD:
· In a non stick vessel add oil , ghee, whole garam masala then add rice mix well then add lemon juice add salt again mix well for 3 minutes
· Then add water mix well
· Cover and cook till the rice is completely cooked
· And keep aside
INDREDIENTS: (FOR THE MASALA)
1. Prawns 250 g (wash and clean)
2. Onion slice 1
3. Tomato ½ slice
4. Garam masala powder ½ tsp
5. Pepper powder ½ tsp
6. Oil 2 Tbsp
7. Ghee 1 Tbsp
FOR GREEN MASALA: (for grinding)
1. Onion 1 chopped
2. Green chilli 2
3. Jeera ½ tsp
4. Saunf ½ tsp
5. Ginger paste ½ tsp
6. Garlic paste 1 tsp
7. Garam masala whole (of your choice)
8. Coriander leaves 3 Tbsp
9. Mint leaves 1 Tbsp
10. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
11. Water
12. Salt to taste
Note: add sufficient water and grind all ingredients’ into smooth paste
METHOD:
· In a non stick vessel add oil ,ghee and onion fry till light brown
· Add tomato cook for few minutes
· Add salt ,garam masala powder and the GREEN GRIND MASALA and fry for few seconds
· Then add prawns cook for 5 minutes(don’t overcook the prawns)
· Last sprinkle some pepper powder and coriander leaves
FOR ASSEMBLEING:
· In a bowl add a pinch of yellow colour and mix well with some drops of water to that add ½ cup cooked rice, mix well and keep aside
· In a deep bottom non stick vessel spread some rice then on top spread some prawns masala
· Repeat the layer again
· Last top with the yellow colour rice
· Cover the lid and keep in heat in low heat for 10 minutes
