Orange Sponge Cake



INGREDIENTS:
1.     Butter 100g (soft in room temperature)
2.     Powdered sugar 1 cup
3.     Eggs 4
4.     Flour (maida) 1 cup
5.     Baking powder 1 tsp
6.     Fresh orange juice ¼ cup (don’t add water while making orange juice)
7.     Orange zest (orange skin) finely chopped 2 and ½ Tbsp
8.     Salt a pinch
9.     Orange essence ½ tsp (optional)
METHOD:
·     In a bowl  add butter and beat well with the beater for few seconds
·     Then add sugar and again beat well
·     Then add eggs and beat till eggs becomes fluffy
·     Shift maida, baking powder and salt together and add to the egg mixture and mix well
·     Then add fresh orange juice and orange zest and also orange essence mix well
·     And then pour  in to the baking tray(baking tray should be coated with butter and flour )
·     And bake the cake for 25 to 30 min in 200c
·     Once cake is done cool it then cut and serve
NOTE:
·        I did not use orange essence for this recipe but you can add for the colour
