INGREDIENTS:
1. Potatoes 2 large (boiled and mashed)
2. Corn flour 1 and ½ tsp
3. Baking powder ¼ sp
4. Salt to taste
INGREDIENTS FOR THE FILLING:
1. Chicken ½ cup (boiled and shredded)
2. Onion 1 finely chopped
3. Green peas 2 Tbsp (boiled)
4. Red chill powder ½ tsp
5. Turmeric powder ½ tsp
6. Garam masala ½ tsp
7. Salt to taste
8. Oil
METHOD:
· In a bowl add potatoes, corn flour, baking powder, salt and mix well and keep aside for ½ an hour
· In a pan add 1Tbsp oil add onion fry till it turns light pink
· Then add turmeric powder, red chill powder, garam masala powder, chicken, salt and green peas and mix well
· Remove from heat and allow to cool
· Make balls of the potato mixture, flatten a little and stuff the chicken filling in the center
· Close and roll into ball again and now press the ball into your palms to form a tikki shape
· Heat a heavy bottom pan add oil and shallow fry the tikkis in medium heat till they are golden brown and crisp on both sides
