Stuffed puri is one of my favourite snack.For the stuffing you can make any stuffing you like. But the spices you can ajust according to your taste.
INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE DOUGH:
- Maida 1 cup
- Sugar 1/2 tsp
- Semolina (suji , rava) 1tsp - optional
- Salt to taste
- Oil little bit
- Water
- Chicken 1 cup ( boiled and shredded )
- Onion 1 , finely sliced
- Turmeric powder 1tsp
- Garam masala 1/2
- Pepper power 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Kusturi methi - optional
- Green chilli 1
- Ginger , Garlic paste 1tsp
- Oil
- Coriander leaves 1Tbsp
FOR THE DOUGH:
- In a bowl mix all the ingredients for the dough and knead to form a smooth pliable dough. Keep covered for 10 mins.
- In a pan add 2Tbsp oil then add onion saute till it turn pink then add ginger, garlic paste, green chilli and curry leaves. Saute for few mins.
- Then add turmeric powder, chicken, garam masala, pepper powder, salt, kusturi methi, and coriander leaves. Saute for 3 mins or till all masala is done. And let it cool.
METHOD TO MAKE STUFFED PURI:
- Make a small lemon size ball and roll the ball into small puri also spread with finger little salt water at the end of the puri.
- Place 1 Tbsp of stuffing at the center of the puri ( refer the photo below)
- Make one more puri and place on the top of the puri ( refer the photo below) and lock it tightly.
- Make all the stuffed puri and deep fry it in medium flame.
Use maida to roll the puri. Don't make very thin it should be little thick.
