Layered Sponge Cake

This layered sponge cake is made from the combination of chocolate and vanilla.


INGREDIENTS: (FOR FIRST LAYER)
1.       Butter 50 gms
2.       Sugar ½ cup
3.       Egg 2
4.       Plain flour ½ cup
5.       Vanilla essence ½ tsp
6.       Baking powder ½tsp
7.       Coco powder 2Tbsp
METHOD:
TO MAKE FIRST LAYER (CHOCOLATE)
·         In a bowl add butter and sugar mix well with hand mixer or fork for 3 minutes
·         One by one add the eggs beat well  and all the other ingredients
·         Grease the baking dish with butter and flour
·         Spread the chocolate mixture to the baking dish(as shown in photo)
·         Then in same way make the vanilla mixture but avoid coco powder (same measurement)
·         Spread the vanilla mixture at the top of the chocolate mixture(as shown in photo)
·         Pre heat the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes in 155’c
·         After 25 minutes check the cake with knife if it come clear then  the cake is done otherwise keep for more 5 minutes
·         Let it cool and cut into pieces
·         You can also decorate with chocolate frosting (which is readily available in the market)

    i tried this recipe it came out good..when i tried once the center of cake was not baked properly ..but next this i incresed the dregee of oven then it was perfect.
