INGREDIENTS:
1. Prawns 250gm (washed and deveined)
2. Jeera ½ tsp
3. Coriander seeds 1 tsp
4. Whole red chillies 2
5. Methi seeds ¼ tsp
6. Black pepper corns 5
7. Coconut ½ cup (fresh and grated)
8. Garlic 2 cloves
9. Tamarind pulp 1 tsp
10. Onion 1 chopped
11. Turmeric powder ½ tsp
12. Red chilli powder ½ tsp
13. Salt to taste
14. Oil
15. Water
METHOD:
· First in a pan add 1 tsp oil, jeera,coriander seeds, whole red chillies, methi seeds, pepper corns and roast for few minutes , let it cool
· In a grinder add coconut,garlic,salt,tamarind pulp, roasted masala and little water ,grind into smooth paste
· In a non stick vessel add 3 tsp oil add onion and fry till light brown
· To that add turmeric powder and red chilli powder mix well
· Then add grind masala mix well
· Add prawns mix well for 2 minutes
· Add salt and ½ cup water mix well
· Cover and cook for 5 minutes
· If the gravy is too thick then add little more water
· Serve hot with rice or chappati
