Chettinad Chicken

1.     Chicken ½ kg (washed and drain)
2.     Ginger and garlic paste 1Tbsp
3.     Onion 1 large chopped
4.     Tomato 1 chopped
5.     Curry leaves few
6.     Turmeric powder 1tsp
7.      Red Chilli powder 2 tsp
8.     Lemon juice 1tsp
9.     Grated coconut fresh 1 cup
10.    Red chillies 3 -4
11.    Fennel seeds (saunf)
12.    Jeera( cumin seeds) ½ tsp
13.   Whole garam masala (cinnamon 1,cardamom1,cloves2,star1/2 )
14.   Oil
15.   Salt to taste
·    In a pan add 2 Tbsp of oil to that add ingredients no 9 to 13 roast  till light brown
·    Then grind to smooth paste with adding 1 cup water and ginger and garlic paste
·    In another non stick kadai add 2-3 Tbsp oil and add onion and curry leaves fry till it turns light brown
·    To that add coconut mixture and mix well
·    Then add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder sauté for few minutes
·     Then add chicken and salt cover and cook for 5 minutes
·     Then add 1 cup water and lemon juice  and cook in medium heat till chicken is done
·     Chettinad chicken is ready
