Prawns Curry




INGREDIENTS:
1.     Prawns ½ kg (shelled and deveined)
2.     Onion 1 large (chopped)
3.     Ginger 1tsp (chopped)
4.     Greenchilli 2 (chopped)
5.     Curry leaves few
6.     Tomato 1 large (chopped)
7.     Turmeric powder 1tsp
8.     Red chilli powder 1Tbsp
9.     Coriander powder 2 Tbsp
10.  Coriander leaves 1 Tbsp
11.   Fresh coconut (grated) 1 cup
12.   Fennel seeds(saunf) 1tsp
13.  Water ½ to 1 cup
14.   Oil 3Tbsp
15.   Salt to taste
16.   Lemon juice ½ tsp
METHOD:
·     In a non stick vessel add oil then onion sauté for few seconds then add ginger, green chilli,curry leaves fry till light brown
·    Then add tomato fry till tomato is soft then add turmeric powder, red chill powder and coriander powder sauté it for a second in low heat
·   Then add prawns and salt mix well then add water. Put the lid and cook for 5 minutes
·    Mean while in other pan add fresh coconut and fennel seeds and just roast for 1 to 2 minutes don’t brown it
·   Then grind it into smooth paste can add water while grinding
·   Add this coconut mixture to the prawns curry and heat in low flame for 3 minutes
·   Last add the lemon juice
NOTE:
·        I have used vegetable oil you can use coconut oil also it will give more flavour
·        You can add water accordingly to your taste.
