Ginger Chicken (Karachi Style)

Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serving For : 3 persons
1.  Chicken ½ kg (clean and cut into medium pieces)
2.  Onion 1 medium chopped
3.  Garlic 6 cloves chopped
4.  Ginger  1 tsp crushed and 1 tsp cut into finely long stripes
5.  Red chilli powder 1 tsp
6.  Coriander powder 1 tsp
7.  Turmeric powder ½ tsp
8.  Pepper powder ½ tsp
9.  Green chilli 1 chopped or fresh red chilli 1 chopped
10. Yogurt ½ cup
11.  Salt  to taste
12.  Oil 3 to 4 Tbsp
13.  Water 1/2 cup
·    First grind chopped onion and garlic  adding little water into smooth paste

·    Then in a kadai add oil ,add onion and garlic paste when it changes its colour add chicken and cook for 3 minutes

·   Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and pepper powder and mix well

·   Then add yogurt and crush ginger mix well and close the lid and cook the chicken for 8 minutes in medium low heat

·   After that open the lid and add 1/2 cup water and cook for another 5 minutes

·   Last add green chilli and finely chopped long stripes of ginger and cook for 2 minutes or till gravy becomes thick

·   Serve hot with Naan ,chapattis or rice
