Coconut Chicken Korma



PERPARATION TIME: 20 minutes
SERVING FOR: 3 persons
INGREDIENTS:
1.   Chicken ½ kg (cut into small pieces)
2.   Onion 1 big (finely chopped)
3.   Ginger paste  ½ tsp
4.   Garlic paste  1 tsp
5.   Coconut milk 1 and ½ cup (thick)
6.   Yoghurt  3 tsp
7.   Coriander leaves chopped 2 Tbsp
8.   Salt to taste
9.   Oil 2 Tbsp
FOR THE PASTE:
1.   Cashew 6 -7 (soak in warm water for 10 minutes)
2.   Cloves 2
3.   Green chillies 4 or to your taste
4.   Jeera (cumin seeds) ½ tsp
5.   Cardamom 1
6.   Coconut fresh 2 Tbsp
7.   Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Grind all these ingredients into smooth paste adding little water

METHOD:
·   Ina non stick kadai add oil then fry chopped onion till light brown

·   Add ginger and garlic paste fry for few seconds

·   Add grind paste fry for few seconds

·   Then add chicken and salt mix well

·   Then add 1 cup fresh coconut milk don’t add water and let it cook in medium heat

·   Mean while in a bowl mix remaining ½ cup coconut milk, yogurt and chopped coriander leaves and keep aside

·   After the chicken is done switch off the gas

·   And add above coconut  mixture mix well and again cook in low flame for 5 minutes

·   Serve with ghee rice or chapattis or appam
