Felafel (chickpea pakoda)



INGREDIENTS:
1.  White chick peas(channa) 250g
2.  Garlic chopped 3 cloves
3.  Coriander leaves ½ cup
4.  Green chilli 1 chopped
5.  Flour (maida) 2 Tbsp
6.  Baking soda  a pinch
7.  Cumin seeds powder ½  tsp
8.  Coriander power 1 tsp
9.  Pepper powder ½ tsp
10.Salt to taste
11.Oil for fry
METHOD:
·   Soak chickpeas for 10 to 15 hours, then drain and wash the chickpeas

·   In a small grinder grind the chickpeas, don’t add water at all

·   You will get nice bread crumbs texture, keep aside

·   In a small grinder add garlic, coriander leaves, green chilli and 1 Tbsp of chick peas mixture, grind to smooth paste, don’t add water

·   Take out the mixture to the bowl and add chick peas mixture,flour,cuminpowder,coriander powder, baking soda, salt and pepper mix will,if you feel that the mixture is too dry just add 2 drops of water and make shape

·   Then fry in medium heat till light brown

·   Serve hot with mint yoghurt dip
NOTE:
·    Can make falafel sandwich also

·    For that take roti or pita bread spread some mint yoghurt dip ,some lettuce then place the falafel, roll and serve
