Palak Chicken (Spinach Chicken)





INGREDIENTS:
1.     Chicken 450 gm (cut into small pieces)
2.     Palak or Spinach paste (almost 1 cup)
3.     Onion 2 large chopped
4.     Tomatoes 2 large chopped
5.     Ginger and garlic paste 3 Tbsp
6.     Redchilli powder 1 or 2 tsp
7.     Turmeric powder ½ tsp
8.     Coriander powder 1 tsp
9.     Cumin or Jeera powder ½ tsp
10.   Garam masala powder ½ tsp
11.   Oil 3 to 4 Tbsp
12.   Salt to taste
13.   Water 1 cup
HOW TO MAKE PALAK /SPINACH PASTE:
·        Wash and chop the palak/spinach
·        In a vessel add palak and ½ cup water and boil for 5 minutes
·        Drain and grind to a fine paste
METHOD:
·      Heat 2 Tbsp oil in a non stick vessel and fry onion till light brown and grind it without adding water
·      In same vessel add 2 Tbsp oil and add the grind onion then add ginger and garlic paste and fry for few second
·      Then add chill powder and fry for 3 minutes
·      Then add tomatoes ,turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala and fry till oil separates
·      Then add chicken and salt ,and mix well and also keep on stirring for about 7 minutes till chicken roasted
·      Add 1 cup water and close lid
·      Let the chicken cook in high heat for 5 minute later reduced into low heat and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or till chicken is completely cooked
·      Then last add the palak /spinach paste and simmer in low heat till oil separates
·      Garnish with fresh cream
