Easy Chicken Curry





I always like different variety of chicken curry which is easy to make and tasty to eat. I tried using different ingredients but in this chicken curry I used very few ingredients and the main ingredient is yoghurt (dahi)…..trust me it’s really taste good….
INGREDIENTS:
1.    Chicken ½ kg
2.    Onion 1 large (sliced)
3.    Ginger and garlic paste 1Tsp
4.    Green chilli paste 1TbSP
5.    Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
6.    Garam masala powder ½ tsp
7.    Coriander powder 1tsp
8.    Jeera powder(cumin powder) 1/2 tsp
9.    Yoghurt 1 cup(whisked)
10.   Kasoori methi 1tsp
11.   Coriander leaves (chopped)1 Tbsp
12.   Whole spices (bay leave 1,cloves 2,cinnamon stick 1)
13.   Cream 2Tbsp or milk 3Tbsp
14.  Water 2Tbsp
15.   Ghee 1Tbsp
16.  Oil 2 Tbsp
17.   Salt to taste
METHOD:
·        In a non stick kadai add ghee and oil then add whole spices then onion fry till light brown
·        Then add ginger, garlic and green chili paste fry for few seconds
·        Then reduced the heat and add turmeric powder, coriander powder,jeera (cumin powder) and garam masala mix well then add whisked yoghurt(dahi) and kasoori meth mix well in very low heat
·        Then add chicken and 2Tbsp water. Cover and cook in medium heat till chicken is cooked completely
·        Last add cream or milk and coriander leaves and mix well and then heat for another 3 minutes.
NOTE:
·        Reduced the heat while adding yoghurt otherwise the yoghurt will turn curdle
·        Don’t add more than 2Tbsp of water
