Stuffed Puri

Stuffed puri is one of my favourite snack.For the stuffing you can make any stuffing you like. But the spices you can ajust according to your taste.




INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE DOUGH:
  1. Maida 1 cup
  2. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  3. Semolina (suji , rava) 1tsp - optional
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil little bit
  6. Water
FOR THE STUFFING :
  1. Chicken 1 cup ( boiled and shredded )
  2. Onion 1 , finely sliced
  3. Turmeric powder 1tsp
  4. Garam masala 1/2
  5. Pepper power 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Kusturi methi - optional
  8. Green chilli 1
  9. Ginger , Garlic paste 1tsp
  10. Oil
  11. Coriander leaves 1Tbsp
METHOD:

FOR THE DOUGH:

  • In a bowl mix all the ingredients for the dough and knead to form a smooth pliable dough. Keep covered for 10 mins.
FOR THE STUFFING:
  • In a pan add 2Tbsp oil then add onion saute till it turn pink then add ginger, garlic paste, green chilli and curry leaves. Saute for few mins.
  • Then add turmeric powder, chicken, garam masala, pepper powder, salt, kusturi methi, and coriander leaves. Saute for 3 mins or till all masala is done. And let it cool.
METHOD TO MAKE STUFFED PURI:
  • Make a small lemon size ball and roll the ball into small puri also spread with finger little salt water at the end of the puri.
  • Place 1 Tbsp of stuffing at the center of the puri ( refer the photo  below)
  • Make one more puri and place on the top of the puri ( refer the photo below) and lock it tightly.
  • Make all the stuffed puri and deep fry it in medium flame.
Note:
Use maida to roll the puri. Don't make very thin it should be little thick.
