Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is a wonderful dish for the starter or side dish. Most of my friends requested me veg dish so I thought this is the best recipe I can share with you. All my recipes are made by me, tasted and then only I share with you all.

INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE BATTER:
1.     Plain flour 4 Tbsp
2.     Corn flour 2 Tbsp
3.     Red chilli powder 1/2tsp
4.     Soya sauce 1/2tsp
5.     Red food colour a pinch
6.     Salt to taste
7.     Water
INGREDIENTS:
FOR THE MANCHURIAN:
1.     Onion 1 small (cut into cubes)
2.     Cauliflower (Gobi) 1 cup ( cut into small pieces)
3.     Capsicum ½ (cut into cubes)
4.     Soya sauce 1 tsp
5.     Tomato sauce(ketchup) 2Tbso
6.     Thai chilli sauce 1Tbsp
7.     Black pepper powder ½  tsp
8.    White pepper powder ½ tsp (option)
9.    Garlic 1tsp (finely chopped)
10.   Salt a pinch
11.  Oil
12.  Coriander leaves or spring onion for garnish
METHOD:
·     In a bowl add all the ingredients for the batter add little  little water to the mixture. Be careful while adding water to the batter. Batter should not be thin as it will not coat the cauliflower. The batter should be thick
·     Dip one by one cauliflower to the batter and deep fry it, the oil should be in medium heat. Fry for 4 to 5 minutes
·     After  that in a pan add 1Tbsp oil add onion fry till it turns pink then add the capsicum fry for 2 -3 minutes then add garlic and  fried cauliflower mix well
·     Add pepper powder, white pepper powder, salt, soya sauce, tomato sauce and Thai sauce mix well
·     Garnish with coriander leaves or spring onions
·     Serve it hot

Note:
·        The batter should be such that it should coat the cauliflower properly
·        Don’t over load the cauliflower while frying in vessel

Hi Shabnam i Tried out the gobi Manchurian n it came out good ...i took care that the batter was thick it was perfect only thing was my pieces were big :))) ill take care to cut them smaller next time other wise the taste was really good and my hubbies colleagues were also surprised n wanted the recipe
